RADIOGRAPHIC TESTING

This non-destructive testing technique inspects materials and components by utilizing ionizing radiation in the form of either x-rays or gamma rays. Conventional Radiography uses sensitive film which reacts to emitted radiation which then captures an image of the material being inspected. This image is then examined for evidence of any flaws, defects, or degradation.

The main objective of Radiography is to locate and quantify any flaws, defects, or degradation in the structure of materials and components, which could lead to possible failures. Radiographic testing is used widely in a variety of industry sectors, included but not limited to power generation, petroleum, construction, oil & gas and chemical.

RT is an extremely sought after non-destructive inspection technique, thanks to its versatility in detecting a wide range of defects on multiple materials, and the ability to produce a permanent record of each and every inspection.

There are several advantages to Radiography when comparing to other NDT techniques. Very little surface preparation is required, the ability of this technique to be used on various types of materials, it being highly reproducible, physical data can be stored for later analysis and can also be digitized for quick future reference. In science and technology industrial radiography plays a very important role to ensure the quality and reliability of a product. All our radiographic systems are portable, reliable and company owned for efficient and mobile use in the field, shop or even at elevated positions.
